Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing specimen processing and testing, including moderate and high complexity testing, with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
- Anticipating and evaluating the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Assuring compliance with accrediting agencies and acting as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
- Managing assigned projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
- Understanding, performing, and practicing quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
- Understanding, performing, and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting, and taking corrective action.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
Certifications
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
