Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital Texsan. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the accuracy of test data.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform specimen processing and testing, including moderate and high complexity testing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards, serving as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
- Manage assigned projects, developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
- Understand, perform, and practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
- Understand, perform, and practice preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting, and taking corrective action.
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting required.
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW) certification required. Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
