Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at FPG Neurosurgery. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient care and provide information to patients to ensure they fully utilize and benefit from clinic services.
- Perform a variety of clinical duties, including monitoring patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient vitals, and performing technical laboratory functions such as phlebotomy, EKG, and stress testing.
- Provide administrative support, including greeting patients, vendors, and other visitors, operating the switchboard or telephone console, and maintaining accurate records for timely billing of accounts.
- Assist in covering other practice sites as needed.
- High school graduate with a Medical Assistant certification required.
- Experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
- Ability to perform as a Medical Scribe from time-to-time.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers with strong typing skills and skilled in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with medical and administrative staff, patients, co-workers, and insurance companies.
