Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Physician/Provider, this role assists in minor office procedures and injections, performs patient intake assessments, discharges patients from clinic and procedures, educates patients on procedures and medication changes, and manages the message center.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients at check-in and verify patient demographics.
- Input patient information into the computer and check patients in and out.
- Answer telephones and route calls to the correct party.
- Take messages for all staff and physicians.
- Document all interventions, patient/family responses, and chart patient encounters.
- Label, document, and track specimens or tests ordered/received.
- Report test results to physicians.
- Set up instruments and equipment according to protocol and clean exam rooms between patient visits.

- Shift, weekend, and PRN differential.
