Key Responsibilities:
Peraton is in search of a Test Automation Specialist to enhance our team of skilled and diverse professionals.

The successful candidate will join Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, supporting the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA).

This initiative aims to modernize and streamline the operational landscape under a unified technology framework to better serve CA's clientele.


This role necessitates exceptional interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with, assist, and influence colleagues within a diverse team in a large-scale program.

As a member of the Integration Testing Team, your proficiency in crafting well-structured automated test scripts in coordinated scenarios and supporting software development teams in an Agile framework will be pivotal to your success in this position.

Responsibilities:


Collaborate within a SAFe Agile Team to strategize and develop automated test scripts that meet the integration testing needs of the teams you support.


Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts utilizing the program's tools and frameworks to validate the integration and functional specifications of the system.

Maintain a Kanban board to track tasks and provide updates on your progress during scheduled standup meetings.

Act as a subject matter expert in web services, offering test automation expertise.

Qualifications:
Minimum

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

At least two (2) years of experience as a tester in a software development environment.


A minimum of 2 years of experience with Core Java principles and automated testing tools/frameworks, including but not limited to Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, and TestNG.


A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing, testing, and/or integrating applications in a DevOps/Continuous Integration/Deployment environment utilizing Jenkins, including Cloud deployments.

Ability to think and communicate clearly and in an organized manner.

Experience in testing web services using SOAP UI or similar tools.

Proven capability to design, develop, and implement automated testing methodologies in an Agile setting.

Ability to simplify complex technical subjects and communicate them effectively in a cross-functional team context.

Capacity to provide technical solutions to a variety of challenging problems with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with software engineering principles and developing automated test scripts.

Active Secret (or higher) clearance; interim clearance is acceptable.

Preferred

Qualifications:
Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, Python, Perl, and/or Groovy.

A demonstrated ability to generate innovative ideas and present them to teams for evaluation and potential adoption.

Experience in an agile testing environment, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Some background in software development is advantageous.

Experience in creating automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages.

Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and Gauge is a plus.

Experience in writing SQL scripts for databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.

Target Salary Range:
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
