We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary patient care team, you will provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients in our inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans to address specific problems and goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, including comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation of treatment modalities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and care provided in accordance with departmental documentation standards.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and suggest areas for improvement to enhance physical therapy services.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of PT degree required.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist with the State of Maryland is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and practices, as well as general knowledge of orthopedics, neurology, trauma, pathology, and general medicine.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow and give instructions accurately.
