Job Summary

Ritter Communications Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled Installation and Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing and repairing voice, video, and high-speed data services to residential and small/medium business customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair telecommunications equipment and services over copper and fiber networks.
  • Locate and repair faults in cable plant, drop wire, and station wiring.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, outside plant maintenance, and construction departments to ensure installation and repair work meets company standards.
  • Take 24-hour calls to resolve service problems in assigned systems.
  • Check and maintain safety equipment and follow OSHA and company safety rules.
  • Travel to customer sites, project areas, and other company locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
  • One year of experience in installation and repair of telecommunications equipment and services over copper or HFC networks.
  • Knowledge of company products and services, company policies and procedures, basic electronics, and telecommunications/CATV plant equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, staking sheets, and operating and maintenance instruction manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
