POSITION SUMMARY: LogistiQ, a Division of LEWCO, is a dynamic supplier of conveyor equipment catering to clients in retail, ecommerce, and distribution sectors. With a legacy of American innovation, LogistiQ combines the expertise of a century-old enterprise with the agility of a start-up.
We are in search of a proficient Project Manager to lead the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems from our operational base. The successful candidate will possess a background in the conveyor sector, exceptional project management capabilities, and outstanding leadership qualities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee all planning and execution activities related to conveyor and automation equipment projects.
- Formulate project timelines and ensure all tasks are completed punctually and within financial constraints.
- Relay project progress, potential risks, and challenges to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Field Project Managers, Installation Coordinators/Managers, and Program Managers to effectively strategize and implement projects.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Cultivate strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Address any project-related challenges that arise and devise contingency strategies as necessary.
- Coordinate with various departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to guarantee project success.
- Provide training and assistance to clients regarding conveyor system operations and upkeep.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally within the conveyor industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with conveyor system design and installation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
- Experience with Lewco conveyor products and Intralox Sorters is advantageous.
- Understanding of building codes relevant to the products involved in project implementation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, project management, or a related field, or 10 years of equivalent experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedural manuals.
- Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Competence in navigating and utilizing the company's ERP and CRM software.
- Proficient typing skills are essential.
- Experience with AutoDesk products for viewing drawings is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Exposure to materials with SDS sheets, though not life-threatening.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Regular exposure to moving mechanical components. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
