Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology Specialist to join our team at Baptist Health. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing waived, moderate, and high complexity testing according to CLIA '88 guidelines. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting and reporting results for established tests and examinations in the field of Microbiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control, quality assurance, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Conduct waived, moderate, and high complexity testing according to CLIA '88 guidelines.
  • Interpret and report results for established tests and examinations in the field of Microbiology.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an Associate degree in chemical, physical, biological, laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
  • Must obtain MLT Certification by ASCP or AMT within 1 year.
