About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to lead our research efforts across our product portfolio, focusing on AI-powered shopping experiences. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead UX research strategy across all Demand.io products, aligning with our mission to become the leading source of e-commerce knowledge.
  • Design and conduct studies on AI-driven, conversational shopping experiences and personalized recommendations.
  • Develop research strategies for systems involving gamification and in-app economies, particularly for our Insiders program.
  • Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to translate advanced capabilities into user-centric features.
  • Drive data-informed product decisions through qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Mentor junior researchers and promote user-centered design across the organization.
  • Represent Demand.io's UX research practice at industry conferences and academic partnerships.
  • Create and maintain a centralized UX research repository to ensure findings are accessible and actionable across the organization.
  • Develop and implement UX measurement metrics to assess the impact of design decisions on user behavior and satisfaction.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced UX Researcher with a strong background in AI-powered products and e-commerce. You should have:

  • 6-10 years of experience in UX research, focusing on complex, data-driven consumer products.
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) interviews and large-scale surveys.
  • Experience researching AI-powered products or features, particularly in e-commerce or related fields.
  • Strong technical background, ideally with an advanced degree in HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence product strategy at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of translating research insights into actionable product improvements.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $160,000 - $240,000 DOE, and equity in a $100M+ valuation company.
