Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a part-time Mobile Patient Monitoring Specialist. This role involves providing visual and auditory observation of patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) and unit manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the assigned patient's condition and behavior.
  • Document observation reports at designated intervals.
  • Respond compassionately to patient needs and engage positively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Remain at the patient's bedside unless relieved by qualified personnel.
  • Assist in redirecting patients from potentially harmful behaviors.
  • Seek immediate assistance from nursing staff when patients exhibit signs of distress.
  • Participate in identifying and reporting patient safety concerns.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for patients.
  • Accompany patients during necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Support patients with meal arrangements and basic positioning as needed.
  • Act promptly in emergencies and adhere to department policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification is required within a specified timeframe after hiring.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
