Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a part-time Mobile Patient Monitoring Specialist. This role involves providing visual and auditory observation of patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) and unit manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor the assigned patient's condition and behavior.
- Document observation reports at designated intervals.
- Respond compassionately to patient needs and engage positively with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Remain at the patient's bedside unless relieved by qualified personnel.
- Assist in redirecting patients from potentially harmful behaviors.
- Seek immediate assistance from nursing staff when patients exhibit signs of distress.
- Participate in identifying and reporting patient safety concerns.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for patients.
- Accompany patients during necessary diagnostic procedures.
- Support patients with meal arrangements and basic positioning as needed.
- Act promptly in emergencies and adhere to department policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification is required within a specified timeframe after hiring.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
