Job Title: Caregiver Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in training activities as specified in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and activity schedules.
• Assist individuals in mobility as needed, including those using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to Universal Precaution Practices.
• Participate in and may be responsible for the daily operation of the home, including grocery shopping, overseeing individuals' money, monitoring the physical plant, and van maintenance.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned to fulfill the agency philosophy and the goals and objectives of the program site.

Qualifications:

• High school education or its equivalent is preferred.
• Some previous experience in supporting/assisting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Satisfactory completion of criminal background checks as required by federal and/or state laws and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings as mandated by a governing agency or the company.
