Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Field Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in copper network installations and repairs, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations and repairs on POTS and DSL lines.
  • Conduct thorough testing of connections, including broadband speed and quality assessments.
  • Ensure all lines are secure and operational before concluding service calls.
  • Utilize tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in copper networks.
  • Run drops and understand the installation of telecom cabinets in residential settings.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in working with copper networks, including experience with HSI and VDSL.
  • Experience in residential cabling and telecommunications.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
  • Familiarity with connecting telecom color-coded wires and cables.
  • Must possess a truck or SUV capable of carrying a 25ft ladder.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in testing and maintaining telecommunications services.
  • Knowledge of handling and interpreting technical drawings and service orders.
  • Ability to maintain daily logs and service order files.
