Position Overview

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned fire alarm technician to serve the San Jose region. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of expertise in fire alarm programming, servicing, and installation. Strong technical capabilities and relevant training or certifications with systems such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Bosch, Edwards, Simplex, and others are essential. A CA Blue card is required, and NICET certifications are advantageous. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing for a traditional Mon-Fri setup or four 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and maintain fire alarm systems in both commercial and residential properties.
  • Offer technical assistance to project teams and clients.
  • Establish and uphold project timelines and financial plans.
  • Conduct site assessments to ensure adherence to local, state, and national regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems as necessary.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and programmers.
  • Engage in project discussions and offer technical advice to team members.


Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in fire alarm programming, servicing, and installation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
