As we prepare for our launch, our aim is to significantly enhance youth mental health by investing in youth and family-led initiatives, developing innovative tools and resources, and collaborating with the music, arts, and entertainment sectors to instigate meaningful change. Our founding board is dedicated to broadening the dialogue surrounding youth mental health and harnessing the influence of cultural icons to drive this mission forward. To fulfill this vision, we are in search of a dynamic and forward-thinking inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who possesses exceptional fundraising, leadership, and organizational capabilities to guide the organization from inception to a prominent national nonprofit focused on advancing youth mental health.

Key Responsibilities

Vision & Strategy

  • Lead with innovative thinking and strategic foresight to propel the organization’s mission and objectives aimed at enhancing youth mental health.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve organizational goals.
  • Establish key performance metrics to assess the organization’s development and impact on youth mental health, ensuring accountability for outcomes.

Safety & Operations

  • Empower youth and family-led organizations, ensuring their voices are amplified.
  • Encourage collaboration with youth and families affected by mental health challenges to foster creative solutions.
  • Align organizational structure and operational practices to ensure cohesion across multiple locations.
  • Create an inclusive work environment that nurtures staff from diverse backgrounds.

Public Advocacy & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain a network of artists and entertainers to support fundraising efforts and raise awareness.
  • Collaborate with youth who have experienced mental health challenges to develop innovative solutions and focus areas for funding.
  • Act as the organization’s representative at public events and serve as a primary spokesperson.
  • Forge partnerships with national advocacy groups and other stakeholders invested in youth mental health.

Fundraising

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to engage new partners in supporting youth mental health initiatives.
  • Oversee fundraising activities, grant applications, and budget management to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Guide the organization in its goal to raise significant funds over its initial decade of operation.

Talent Development

  • Recruit, lead, and cultivate a diverse and skilled team committed to the organization’s mission.
  • Inspire a culture of community, transparency, and accountability within the team.
  • Encourage recognition of team achievements and foster a sense of purpose that transcends individual leadership.

Board Relations

  • Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to drive financial and programmatic growth.
  • Maintain an engaged and effective Board culture, ensuring member involvement in organizational objectives.

Candidate Profile
