Role Summary:

As an Automotive Estimator at Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be instrumental in our service operations, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) and precise mechanical repair/service estimates. Your strong communication and organizational abilities will be essential in collaborating with technicians and advisors to address customer inquiries and maintain an orderly repair log, maximizing productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all digital vehicle inspections conducted by technicians.
  • Address customer inquiries and prepare detailed estimates for advisors and customers.
  • Utilize Tekmetric and Autoflow to manage and edit DVIs, generating thorough and accurate repair estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with advisors regarding repair cycle times, parts availability, and service options.
  • Facilitate productivity in accordance with shop policies, distributing service tickets to technicians based on workload and customer needs.
  • Present clear and understandable repair solutions to customers.
  • Ensure all work is estimated according to specifications and completed within the promised timeframe.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and external vendors.
  • Communicate part availability and related issues to advisors.
  • Prepare lists of required equipment and supplies for the service department.
  • Assist in parts management, including inventory and warranty claims.
  • Engage with external vendors regarding parts inventory and pricing.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with technicians, customers, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple work orders and appointments.
  • Proficient customer service skills to address inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software and automotive applications.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales, advising, estimating, or technician services is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Dependability for a scheduled workweek.
  • Ability to remain on feet for the majority of the workday.
  • Occasional lifting of objects over 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.
