Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a talented Dental Hygienist to support our mission. As a Smile Care Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include delivering direct dental care and associated services to patients under the general supervision of a dentist. You will also be responsible for providing general support to the office, including educating patients and parents in oral hygiene instruction, assessing the dental condition and needs of patients, and reviewing patients' medical history.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Quality Care: Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient, delivering direct patient care, including scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, application of sealants and fluoride, and related procedures, under the general supervision of a dentist.
- Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by looking for opportunities to offer Same Day Care and ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient service.
- Oral Hygiene Instruction: Educate patients and parents in oral hygiene instruction, promoting good oral health practices and preventing dental problems.
- Patient Assessment: Assess the dental condition and needs of patients, reviewing their medical history and recommending appropriate treatment options.
- Support Team: Provide general support to the office, assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with other team members to achieve our goals.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in good standing.
- Experience: Experience is great, but not always required. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience.
- Language Skills: Speak another language? That may be very helpful here.
