Job OverviewThe Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as a member of the Board of Rehabilitative Therapies. The Board is responsible for regulating the practices of audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreational therapy, and speech-language pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulate the practices of audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreational therapy, and speech-language pathology
  • Ensure the qualifications and competence of professionals in these fields
  • Make decisions on licensing and certification

Requirements
  • Professional members must have at least 3 years of experience in the practice of the health occupation regulated by the Board
  • Consumer members must be at least 18 years old and not have a household member who is a health professional

Time CommitmentThe Board meets monthly, and subcommittees meet as required to complete tasks.
