About the Role

At Stantec, we're committed to delivering exceptional environmental consulting services to our clients. As an Environmental Scientist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Natural Resource group in Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork, including species surveys, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, compliance monitoring, inspections, and technical support services.
  • Collect and analyze ecological/environmental data, and prepare reports and supporting materials for client and regulatory agency submittals.
  • Travel to project areas to perform field assessments throughout Stantec's service area.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in wildlife biology, rangeland ecology, environmental science, forestry, botany, soil science, or a closely related natural resource field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the field performing habitat assessments, wetland delineations, compliance monitoring, inspections, and technical support services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional MS Office skills.
  • Ability to solve problems using critical thinking and complete tasks considering safety.
  • Possesses knowledge of Texas and Oklahoma vegetation and species.
  • Familiarity with GPS data collection, ecological communities, environmental regulatory compliance, and prior consulting experience is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing and able to travel and conduct fieldwork in remote areas up to 75% of the time.
