We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our Float Pool team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Patient Care Associate, you will provide direct patient care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including activities of daily living, observations, and assisting patients with personal hygiene and toileting needs.
- Continuous Safety Observation: Provide continuous safety observation of patients identified to be at risk for causing injury to themselves or others, including offering basic comfort measures and addressing emotional needs.
- Remote Monitoring: Remotely monitor up to 9 patients via continuous video monitoring, providing effective verbal redirection and summoning appropriate staff when necessary.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certifications: Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) Certification, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Certification, CPI Certification within 90 days of hire
- Skills: Proficient computer and technology skills, strong ability to multitask and prioritize workflow, excellent communication skills, physical ability to perform functional requirements
