Project Engineer Job Description

At Michael Page, we are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager in all phases of construction
Write and submit RFI's for approval and distribution
Review and understand subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility
Notify management of significant project events, such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, and potential losses/claims
Work with the owner/client to provide updates, obtain approvals, and complete change orders for scope of work revisions
Assist with documenting changes, maintaining project records, red line transfers, and correspondence
Ensure all work is done in compliance with OSHA
Monitor project costs to stay within budget

Requirements:

1-2+ years of experience working in commercial or multifamily construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Manage administrative construction duties, including document control
Prepare submittal schedules for approval and distribution
Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations
Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists
