Position Title: Supply Chain Specialist I

Job Summary:
Supply Chain Responsibilities:
  • Designs, executes, and oversees the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the origin point to the consumption point, ensuring the needs of internal customers are met.
  • Responsible for sourcing telecommunications equipment, components, and associated services to fulfill the requirements of the organization nationwide.
  • Oversees corporate logistics, warehousing, and barcoding operations.
  • Develops and implements inventory management systems, policies, and procedures within a shared services framework.
  • Maintains primary oversight of corporate contract negotiations for procurement agreements and service level contracts.
Fulfillment Responsibilities:
  • Receives materials from distribution centers, executes cross-docking operations, organizes inventory, and completes necessary documentation.
  • Unloads incoming materials and organizes stock as required.
  • Utilizes barcode scanners to tag all received materials and monitor status changes.
  • May enter inventory transactions into the inventory management system.
  • Pulls inventory to fulfill requisitions as necessary.
  • Packs customer orders according to established specifications.
  • Conducts tagging, packing, and shipping activities in accordance with schedules.
  • Employs computer applications designed to support various warehouse functions (receiving, testing, shipping, etc.).
  • Assists in conducting periodic warehouse inventories and may help investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • May assist with claims related to damaged freight.
  • May operate heavy warehouse equipment as necessary for picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
  • May require basic knowledge of billing systems.
  • May provide pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of materials and equipment using fleet vehicles.
  • May inspect vehicles for defects and ensure safe operating conditions before, during, and after trips, reporting on vehicle status at the end of each trip.
  • May verify shipping documents to ascertain the nature of loads and check for hazardous materials.
  • Ensures that all necessary shipment documentation is available for inspection and accompanies shipments upon delivery.
  • May require a valid local driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Performs other supply chain management-related duties as assigned.
Typical Training / Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Entry-level support role requiring basic skills.
  • Can perform fundamental tasks within the function.
  • Some impact at the job or departmental level.
