Job Title: Technical Training Instructor Senior

Archrock is seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Instructor Senior to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for delivering training to our service personnel and customers, developing classroom and self-study training materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of our training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instructor-led training on advanced compressor and engine courses, controls, and electronics.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and deliver training sessions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training schedules.
  • Identify training opportunities and create new training materials.
  • Evaluate student performance and training effectiveness.
  • Provide technical reviews of online forum exchanges.
  • Stay in close contact with supervisors to ensure training meets expectations.
  • Ensure training materials and rooms are prepared for classes.
  • Assist with implementing training certification plans.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in a Field Service Technician role.
  • 2 years of experience in emissions testing and tuning.
  • Strong preference for I/E experience.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
Preferred Skills:
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • CAT ET, CAT GERP, Waukesha WIKI, Murphy C4/C5, Waukesha ESM 2, Murphy EICS, ECOM or TESTO analyzer, Ariel7 Performance Software.
Knowledge and Certifications:
  • Subject Matter Expert in Compression, Waukesha ESM1, ESM2, Caterpillar 3500 ULB, and 3600 A3/A4 controls.
  • Detailed knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used for adult education.
  • Extensive knowledge of Archrock HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time, year-round.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods, use PC, and talk or hear.
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds may be required.
Problem Solving and Innovation:
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to recommend and implement methods and procedures to improve efficiency.
