Position Overview

The Bethel Learning Centers is in search of a dedicated Center Director who will oversee the overall operations of our early childhood education facility. This role is crucial in maintaining the health, safety, and educational quality for all children under our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a quality vision for the center, ensuring compliance with state and local standards.
  • Monitor and maintain effectiveness metrics related to educational quality.
  • Collaborate with staff to design and enhance the educational curriculum, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage student enrollment processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through various channels, including newsletters and community outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee food service operations, including menu approval and procurement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and financial obligations.
  • Supervise all administrative functions, including payroll, accounts management, and human resources.
  • Address and resolve conflicts to foster a positive environment for staff, children, and families.
  • Plan and manage the center's budget, ensuring financial health.
  • Establish emergency protocols and ensure staff training in safety procedures.
  • Implement strategic initiatives that align with the center's mission and goals.
  • Commit to personal professional development for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in early childhood education or a related discipline, with at least 30 credits in early childhood education.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an educational setting.
  • Five years of hands-on experience in early childhood education.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for working with young children.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in technology.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, children, and parents, fostering a supportive team environment.
  • A solid understanding of child development principles.
  • Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in infant/child CPR and First Aid.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
  • Passing a health screening is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ProCare Child Care Management System.
