POSITION SUMMARY

The Trade Marketing Manager will serve as a crucial link between Field Sales and Marketing, spearheading the development and execution of strategic Sales/Trade promotion plans. This role involves addressing challenges related to Sales/Trade promotion strategies that align with national business objectives to meet sales and profit targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transform and manage strategic directives from Marketing and Field Sales into national and market-specific strategies; develop the National Sales plan. Collaborate with field sales managers and brokers during joint planning sessions to ensure a unified approach. Allocate additional marketing/trade funds and oversee promotional event assessments and trade spending evaluations. Address unique Sales and Customer challenges concerning deal economics, sales, production, supply chain, and marketing. Assist in the creation and coordination of Sales and Customer initiatives related to new product launches and test markets. Engage in forecasting for new items and promotions to meet customer service requirements, collaborating with Marketing and Supply Chain through the S&OP process and managing inventory and production needs. Partner with the Category Management team and Shopper Marketing on strategic initiatives for significant customer sales opportunities. Mentor Category Analysts and junior Sales and/or Marketing team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Sales or Marketing. 5+ years of experience in trade and customer-focused Sales/Marketing roles. 2+ years of direct customer engagement and sales plan execution experience. Proven ability to establish strategic direction and navigate complexity. Strong leadership, performance management, and coaching capabilities. In-depth understanding of the integration of Sales with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and overall business operations; comprehensive knowledge of industry and market dynamics. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to provide unique insights for problem resolution. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry and understanding of the competitive landscape.
