Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent with extensive experience in Commercial Construction to oversee our diverse range of projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful management of construction activities from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate site operations and supervise field teams, contributing significantly to our projects' success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries to ensure resource availability.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Supervise and mentor field personnel, fostering a positive work culture and commitment to safety.
- Ensure all work aligns with design specifications and quality benchmarks through regular inspections.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the construction site and project management, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring accurate billing.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes professionally and promptly.
- Continuously assess project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role within the construction sector.
- Demonstrated experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial Construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to effectively schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in construction management software and technology.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
