ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Specialist Pharmacist will provide expert-level consultation, guidance, and direction for appropriate ICU-affiliated medication use. In conjunction with a team of critical care physicians and surgeons, the pharmacist will provide complete care to the patient through inpatient ICU rounding service and multidisciplinary patient care planning meetings.
- Optimize patient outcomes by providing evidence-based, patient-centered drug therapies.
- Monitor for drug-related problems and medication cost containment.
- Provide pharmacokinetic consultations as required.
- Communicate ongoing patient information and efficacy and safety of treatment regimen(s) to all care providers.
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in pharmacy and a passion for critical care. The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduation from a Pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) residency in a specialty practice area and current, active board certification in the area of specialty.
