Job Overview

The Mindful Health Foundation is a dedicated healthcare organization seeking a skilled and empathetic Addiction Treatment Counselor to enhance our collaborative treatment team.

We are a private voluntary behavioral health facility specializing in the treatment of dual diagnosis disorders, including substance use, eating disorders, and mental health challenges. Our facility offers various levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. Our team is small and cohesive, with many members having extensive experience working together. We are looking for an Addiction Treatment Counselor who will provide comprehensive clinical care, from initial assessments to aftercare planning and therapeutic services for adult patients facing addiction issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, facilitate group therapy sessions, and provide individual therapy for patients across various age groups, including young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors.
  • Collaborate with other treatment providers to ensure smooth transitions for patients to the next level of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient records, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and aftercare plans.
  • Identify patient needs, prioritize issues, set measurable goals, and select appropriate clinical interventions within the scope of our services.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and non-violent crisis intervention methods as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or an Associate's Degree with an addiction certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
