**Career Opportunity: Late Stage Collections Specialist**
Massanutten Resort is seeking a skilled and experienced debt recovery specialist to join our dynamic team. This challenging role offers the chance to leverage your expertise in loan servicing and compliance, as well as deliver exceptional customer service under demanding circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactive Communication: Engage with clients through professional and empathetic calls and emails, ensuring consistent and constructive dialogue.
- Effective Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate settlements and payment arrangements, aiming to exceed departmental targets while maintaining client dignity.
- Advanced Skip Tracing: Utilize innovative techniques to successfully locate and engage with elusive debtors.
- Strategic Account Management: Efficiently prioritize accounts, focusing on urgency and recovery potential, to meet critical deadlines and maximize results.
- Legal Acumen: Conduct thorough legal research to inform and enhance collection strategies.
- Diligent Record-Keeping: Maintain precise and current records of client interactions and collection milestones.
- Regulatory Adherence: Commit to strict compliance with all relevant collection laws and regulations, and contribute to accurate reporting on collection activities and outcomes.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- A solid educational foundation, with a high school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is highly valued.
- At least two years of experience in debt collection, with a focus on late stage collections.
- Understanding of loan servicing, and collection laws and regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, paired with a dedication to outstanding customer service.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively, even under pressure.
- Knowledge of skip tracing and legal research techniques.
- Outstanding communication prowess, both in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
