Job Summary

Cretex Medical Component and Device Technologies is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team in the New Product Development (NPD) area. As a key member of our Molding business unit, you will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable production-ready tooling, troubleshooting tooling issues, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure best practices are used during the build and qualification of all tooling.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and build production-ready tooling on time
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and determine effective solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure best practices are used during the build and qualification of all tooling
  • Monitor and assist in refining toolroom processes
  • Develop CAM programs from CAD-generated models
  • Operate CNC and manual toolroom equipment to produce high-quality tooling components and other piece parts
Requirements
  • Technical degree or equivalent machine tool experience
  • 5 years of experience building and maintaining precision tooling
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude
Preferred Requirements
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Injection mold experience
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Principles and toolroom process workflow
Physical and Environmental Demands

Cretex Medical Component and Device Technologies uses cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below OSHA permissible exposure levels.
