Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Ensure that our guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff, providing a positive and welcoming experience in our store.
  • Sales and Profitability: Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies, ensuring that our products are always available and of the highest quality.
  • Operational Excellence: Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs, ensuring that our processes are efficient and effective.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards, maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards, developing and growing our team members.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards, as well as maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
  • Communication: Perform PA announcements and communicate effectively with the Store Manager and Merchandiser, ensuring that our team is informed and aligned.
Requirements
  • Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others, building strong relationships with our team members and guests.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, as well as bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand information and direction, as well as use computers effectively.
  • Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
