Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Thermon. As a key member of our supply chain, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and supplies.

Based in San Marcos, TX, this position offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Purchasing Management: Execute all activities related to the operational needs of the purchasing process; negotiate, procure, and provide materials, supplies, and buyouts cost-effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain the highest level of integrity, quality, and on-time deliveries while fostering strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Inventory Management: Analyze and manage inventory levels on items applicable, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement/supply chain management, including negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, results-driven work environment.
  • Able to perform within applicable deadlines and prioritize workload, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Superior analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems is desired, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Ax.
