About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Design Engineer to join our team in Novi, MI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations, assisting in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, and participating in conducting engineering investigations and planning work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations.
  • Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
  • Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work.
  • Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of a more experienced professional.
  • Participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with easily interpreted specifications.
Requirements
  • B.S. (or higher) in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-2 years' experience.
  • EIT (obtained or in the process of obtaining).
  • CAD and design software proficiency desired.
  • MicroStation and OpenRoads experience is a plus.
  • Internship, Co-op, or other experience in Roadway Design and/or Construction is a plus.
  • Proven technical writing and communication skills.
