Division Overview:
ITW Deltar Fasteners, a prominent division within the Automotive Segment, provides advanced plastic fasteners to major OEMs and their tier suppliers. Our operations span multiple locations, enhancing our ability to serve our clients effectively.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager (VW, BMW, Daimler, Volvo) will report directly to the North America Sales Director and will be accountable for driving sales performance in designated OEM markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director and ITW Europe office to establish strategic direction, performance targets, and a cohesive vision for the OEM sales team.
  • Utilize local market insights to enhance product offerings and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Lead the OEM team in engaging customers through value-added initiatives such as educational events and technical showcases.
  • Drive the acquisition of new business opportunities while managing a robust pipeline of growth projects.
  • Develop and execute a data-driven strategy for customer growth, outlining objectives and key milestones.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Analyze sales reports and other metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Leverage ITW's innovation strategies to enhance product offerings.
  • Champion the ITW Leadership Development framework, nurturing talent within the organization.
  • Identify and cultivate future leaders for key roles.
  • Exhibit effective leadership that fosters a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure alignment with ITW values and organizational culture.
  • Manage budgets for the assigned OEM teams.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in sales growth within European OEM accounts.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in automotive plastic or metal fastener sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to grow European accounts and lead sales teams effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful customer engagements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing customer growth strategies.
  • Ability to set data-driven sales targets aligned with long-term growth objectives.
  • Proficient in budget development and sales forecasting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust and respect among colleagues and external partners.
  • Adaptability to changes in the business environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
