Division Overview:
ITW Deltar Fasteners, a significant division within the Automotive Segment, caters to major OEMs and their tier suppliers with advanced plastic fastening solutions. Our operational hubs are strategically located to support our customers effectively.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager (VW, BMW, Daimler, Volvo) will report directly to the North American Sales Director and will oversee the development and execution of all sales initiatives within designated OEM markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director and ITW Europe office to establish strategic direction, performance objectives, and plans to align the OEM sales team resources for optimal growth.
  • Utilize local market insights to enhance product offerings and introduce innovative solutions through an outside-in approach.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to leverage ITW's competitive advantages.
  • Lead the OEM team in driving customer engagement through value-added interactions such as educational sessions, technical showcases, and site visits.
  • Guide the OEM team in securing new business opportunities while managing a pipeline of high-potential projects and maintaining accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and implement a data-driven strategy for customer growth, outlining objectives, methodologies, and key milestones.
  • Conduct thorough market research aligned with strategic growth priorities to identify niche markets and expansion opportunities.
  • Continuously analyze sales reports and trends to proactively address any emerging issues.
  • Utilize ITW's innovation strategies to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion the ITW Leadership Development framework to cultivate talent within the organization.
  • Identify and mentor potential leaders for future roles within the company.
  • Exhibit personal effectiveness and leadership to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Maintain budgets for the assigned OEM teams and ensure financial accountability.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in driving sales growth within European OEM accounts.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Experience in automotive plastic or metal fastener sales is preferred.
  • Proven success in growing European accounts and leading sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful customer engagements.
  • Ability to establish data-driven sales targets aligned with long-term growth objectives.
  • Experience in developing budgets and sales forecasts that align with business plans.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and respect among colleagues and external partners.
  • Adaptability to changing business environments.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
