Community Description
Bethany Village is a vibrant senior living community characterized by a culture of care and camaraderie among residents and staff.
- Support the Executive Chef in onboarding and guiding new kitchen staff, addressing inquiries, and resolving challenges faced by team members.
- Conduct quality assessments of all prepared dishes, ensuring they align with established standards for presentation, flavor, texture, and temperature.
- Coordinate with the storekeeper to create a "prep and pull sheet," ensuring that frozen ingredients are available and thawed in advance of service.
- Prepare designated quantities of menu items as specified in production sheets, adhering strictly to recipes. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure all kitchen staff meet quality standards and that meal preparation is synchronized for service.
- Assist the Executive Chef with menu development, procurement, inventory management, event planning, and other operational duties.
- Full-time position, totaling 80 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts: Tuesday & Wednesday 7:30 AM - 4 PM; Thursday - Saturday 10:30 AM - 8 PM.
- Regular days off: Sunday and Monday.
- Enjoy a schedule free of late nights and every other holiday off.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- ServSafe certification is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
