About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Professional to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Systems Administrator Staff, you will play a critical role in protecting our networks and systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated ticket

Requirements:

  • Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph
  • Nine (9) years experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Four (4) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree
  • Three (3) years experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • TCP/IP, networks; computer configuration skills; remote manipulation of systems, remote monitoring and administration
    • Sun Solaris, HP-Unix, Linux, VMS, and Windows operating systems to include shell scripting and XML
    • Networking equipment and router operations
    • Smart data tagging; virtual computing; thin client applications

Desired Skills:

  • Three (3) years experience in Linux system administration using shell scripting
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
