Key Responsibilities- Build Strong Patient Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, one-on-one relationships with patients, providing personalized support and care throughout their treatment journey.
- Patient Evaluation and Chart Review: Participate in thorough patient evaluations and chart reviews to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Medication Order Review: Review and evaluate physician medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy, safety, and completeness.
- Progress Monitoring and Communication: Monitor patient progress, assess results, and communicate clinical and technical information to physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Supervision and Training: Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel, providing guidance and training on compounding, packaging, and labeling of compounded sterile products.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, adhering to policies and procedures, and state board of pharmacy regulations.
- Computer Order-Entry and Dispensing: Accurately enter and process medication orders, label, and dispense medications in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Security and Compliance: Maintain procedures for the secure storage and handling of legend items, including controlled substances.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation as needed, providing support and care to patients outside of regular business hours.
- Active Registered Pharmacist License: Possess an active registered pharmacist license in the state of Nevada.
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Multitasking: Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Home Infusion or Hospital Therapy Experience: 1 year of experience in home infusion or hospital therapy, with a strong understanding of complex infusion therapy and TPN care.
- Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in supervising and training staff.
- Pharmacy Software Experience: Familiarity with pharmacy software, including EPIC.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Pharmacy Degree: Possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
