Job Summary

As a Pharmaceutical Specialist at Insight Global, you will play a critical role in managing drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing, interpreting, and evaluating medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Document interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
  • Check for accuracy after filling by technicians.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Pharmacist Inpatient or Clinical Pharmacy Experience.
  • Experience with Chemotherapy/Oncology.
