As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) to address substance use and abuse issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement procedures to coordinate and integrate TEAP components with other center programs, policies, and zero-tolerance initiatives.
  2. Assess students with identified substance use problems, develop and implement plans to modify or control the problem(s), and provide TEAP/TUPP orientation and education to students and instructors.
  3. Work with new students during the 45-day probation period, participate in career preparation, and provide information on prevention activities on and off center.
  4. Provide assessment and assistance/intervention plans for students who test positive for drugs or alcohol.
  5. Collaborate with counseling, health/wellness, and human resources departments for referrals of students and/or staff with TEAP problems.
  6. Provide ongoing comprehensive training for staff to aid in identification and reporting of substance abuse problems, individual counseling skills, and general team building.
  7. Conduct TEAP classes, group education, materials, and information, peer support, and other prevention sessions for students/staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse certification or license per state requirement (CADC or CRADC)
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
