Position Details

This is a full-time position with a schedule from Saturday to Wednesday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and assist in the storage of food items, whether ordered or donated.
  2. Provide assistance with food pickups as necessary.
  3. Participate in post-meal cleanup and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning logs.
  4. Conduct kitchen cleanup inspections and address any non-compliance issues with the Food Services Manager.
  5. Maintain personal hygiene standards and ensure a sanitary kitchen environment.
  6. Prepare meals and oversee the work of other cooks and kitchen helpers to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  7. Serve meals and guide Client workers in serving food to Clients.
  8. Conduct inventory checks at the end of each day or as directed.
  9. Assist in maintaining records for effective management of food services, including meat inventory and refrigeration temperature logs.
  10. Adhere to the organizational code of conduct and follow state guidelines for food handling and procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or senior management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's vehicle insurance carrier.
  2. Ability to successfully complete a background check.
  3. Experience in meal preparation within an institutional setting is preferred.
  4. Capability to lift 40 pounds regularly.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to pass a food safety certification course.
