Key Responsibilities
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to compute project costs.
- Oversee projects and subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
- Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare work for estimation.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies through information collection and analysis.
- Present detailed estimates by compiling numerical and descriptive data.
- Generate special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and trends.
- Conduct conceptual, schematic, and design development budgeting.
- Review plans for accuracy and consistency.
- Manage comprehensive take-offs while applying unit pricing.
- Collaborate with the preconstruction team to successfully bid on projects.
- Develop leadership skills within the estimating team.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating or project management, preferably within a commercial General Contractor.
- Experience with bids valued at $2 million or more.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field is advantageous.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
