We are seeking a skilled and compassionate STNA / Phlebotomist to join our team at PruittHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and services, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned patients, in accordance with their assessment and care plan, and as directed by the nurse supervisor.
- Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner, under the direction of the manager.
- Handle laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure requests for laboratory tests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged.
- Collect blood samples from patients, primarily from the older age group, while maintaining a constant awareness of policies and procedures.
- Ensure enforcement of infection control processes when working with or around patients.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members, being courteous, prompt, and polite.
- Document all information correctly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and properly stocked work environment.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs.
- Participate in center/agency surveys and required reports.
- Honor patients' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights.
- Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection and prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.
- Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.
- Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
- A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably with geriatrics.
- Active, current, and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the appropriate state.
- Phlebotomy Certification.
