ABA's internship program provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC.

This selective opportunity allows students to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Foundation team to develop a strategy for collecting data on the impact of bank financial health programs.
  • Conduct research on how technology and AI can be used to reduce barriers to financial inclusion.
  • Research non-banker organizations that would benefit from the Foundation's Financial Literacy programs and support the Foundation team in marketing FinEdLink, an online portal that connects non-banker audiences with bankers.
  • Identify effective bank products and services that help financially vulnerable populations achieve financial stability.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data and metrics to explain current economic trends.
  • Ability to collect and analyze information and to edit, write, and speak clearly and persuasively.
  • Willingness to work on highly collaborative teams.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to analyze and report/summarize information.
  • Strong understanding of national and international economic trends and drivers.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Graduate student with a major in Public Policy, Economics, or Nonprofit Management.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
