Rio Grande Regional Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in McAllen, Texas, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Medical Professional for Post-Surgical Care, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a culture of excellence within our institution.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months acute care experience to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing post-surgical procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. You will also perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.

About the Role

  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months acute care experience.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
