Logistics Coordinator

Employers Depot, Inc. is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our dispatch operations, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the movement of goods and materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling: Assigning trucks and drivers to specific routes and ensuring that all schedules are adhered to.
- Communication: Acting as a liaison between drivers, customers, and other departments within the company.
- Route Planning: Creating optimal routes for deliveries, considering factors like traffic, weather, and road conditions.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues that arise during transport, such as delays or mechanical problems.
- Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all operations adhere to legal and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous Experience: Experience in transportation, logistics, or a similar field is often preferred.
- Industry-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with drivers, clients, and other staff members.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as scheduling and problem-solving.
