The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of patients affected by cardiopulmonary, neurological, and surgical conditions.

The Med Surg RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.
The Med Surg RN acts as a patient advocate, providing support, information, and direct care while utilizing equipment and technology skillfully and being technically competent in nursing procedures.
The Registered Nurse educates patients and families on significant self-care issues.
The Med Surg RN may be required to inventory, distribute, and deliver medications.
Med Surg RN Position RequirementsLicensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Med Surg RN Work ScheduleMay be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy.
Scheduled off at least three holidays per year.
Required to work weekends per unit need.
Expected to work overtime on occasion.
Med Surg RN BenefitsAt TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period, and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.

Salary range: $33.00-$52.80 Commensurate with experience
