About the Role

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Award Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) team, you will provide critical support to research investigators in developing and submitting federal, state, foundation, private, and other sponsored project proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate proposal development assistance to Principal Investigators, establish electronic application options, and manage internal and external submission deadline dates.
  • Meet with Principal Investigators to provide personalized service, collect and build administrative components of proposals, and develop proposal budgets in line with budget justification and sponsor policies.
  • Serve as a primary source of expertise to ensure proposals meet sponsor requirements, ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and FAR terms and conditions, and consult with managerial staff on exceptions to institutional policy.
  • Generate proposal files, maintain updates, and provide detailed documentation for each new proposal.
  • Assist with preparation of internal research award budgets, donation fund monitoring, and other assignments as required.
  • Assemble final proposal documents, perform initial proposal reviews, and hand off to the Grant Administration office for final review and processing.
