Job Summary
Safelite is seeking a skilled Auto Glass Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle glass repairs and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair Vehicle Glass: Learn to repair vehicle glass with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
- Manage Work Orders: Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Operate Company Fleet Vehicle: Safely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations.
- Perform Additional Tasks: Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time during the repair process, perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop, and assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26 lbs. to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license required.
- On-the-Job Training: On-the-job training/completion of Safelite SafeTech certification required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods, work at elevated heights, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
