Role Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Accountant to become an integral part of our Real Estate Systems Implementation Group (RESIG). This role is suited for individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are committed to delivering outstanding service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team to manage multiple client relationships.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Statements of Investments, Statements of Operations, Statements of Cash Flows, and accompanying Notes.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger and work paper files, covering capital activity, investment transactions, and income and expense accruals.
- Prepare Partner Capital reports, including Partner Profit & Loss statements.
- Calculate monthly interest accruals, management fees, and capital allocations.
- Generate capital call and distribution notices, along with sources and uses of cash reports.
- Conduct daily cash balance reconciliations across various accounts.
- Calculate quarter-end final and estimated Net Asset Values (NAVs).
- Support the year-end audit process in partnership with team members, clients, and auditors.
- Mentor and train junior staff members.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in private equity fund accounting is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or progress towards completion is advantageous.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Yardi and/or MRI software is a plus.
